Wildlife in Need Coin Series
Found on the SILVER page.
The Perth Mint has donated $1.99 AUD for each coin sold to
the WWF Australia.
The first coins in this series were issued in 2011. They include the Polar Bear, the Siberian
Tiger, and the Black Rhinoceros in 2012, and the Orangutan and the Giant Panda
in 2011.
These coins are colorized by the Perth Mint. They were struck by the Perth Mint for the
Island nation of Tuvalu. The Tuvalu
dollar fluctuates with the Australian dollar.
They are one Troy ounce of fine silver, and are very limited in their
mintages. They are rated Proof like by
the Perth Mint.
These coins are no longer available at the mint.
We stock a few Polar Bear coins, but after we sell these we
will have no more. We have taken the
picture of one we have at the time of writing, and will retain the image.
