The One Pound Floral Coins from the Royal Mint
The Royal Mint has three versions of the one pound Floral Coins. There is a Gold Proof Coin, a Silver Proof Coin, and a Silver Proof Piedfort Coin.
The perdfort coins, extra thick coins for sharper strikes, have a limited mintage of 3,000.
The silver proof coin has a limited mintage of 7,500. This coin is composed on 9.5 g Sterling Silver.
The gold coins have a mintage of just 500 coins, and 19.619 g of 22-kt gold.
This is a four coin set, with the first coins being issued in 2013, and the set finishing in 2014. The mint also offers a four-coin box.
The coins will honor ENGLAND, WALES, SCOTLAND, and NORTHERN IRELAND. This is truly a United Kingdom Set! The first coin represents England with a rose.
