Gold American Eagle Coins

The gold American Eagle coin comes as small as the $5, 1/10 ounce coin.  Other countries mint even smaller, so it is a nice size in comparison.  The other sizes it comes is the 1/4 ounce. the 1/2 ounce, aand the one ounce.

One innovation that came about a few years ago is the high relief gold American Eagle.  However, if you are obtaining gold as bullion the high relief may have too much of a mark up.

The denominations on the larger coins is $10 fo the 1/4 ounce coin, $25 for the 1/2 ounce coin, and $50 for the one ounce coins.

All four coins have been minted as proof coins for numismatists, thse who collect coins.  Proof coins are no really bullion, but are numismatic coins.
