2013 Britannia

The Britannia comes in several sizes, but the most popular is the one ounce silver Britannia.  See the new design available only on the proof and the brilliant uncirculated Britannias.

The coins are minted in 0.999 fine silver, and are one of the most sought after of the silver coins.

The coins have a denomination of 2 pounds.

500th Anniversary of Trinity House

Trinity House, a mariner safety organization serving since King Henry VIII in 1514, is having its 500th anniversary.  A lighthouse is being featured on a British two pound coin.  This is a significant commemorative coin reflecting on a major influence in British history.

The coin is bimetallic, which adds to its appeal.  This coin comes in a folder that provides information on Trinity House.
