Platinum Coins
The Perth Mint strikes five platinum coins annually. To see the fifteen platinum coins still available go to the link below and click any image, then insert the word platinum in the keywords on the upper left.
The coins are part of the Discover Australia Series. What is exciting about the Discover Australia Series is that the coins differ from the five silver and the five gold coins issued in the same year.
The platinum coins were being minted in multiple sizes, 1/10 Troy ounce and 1/2 Troy ounce. However, the 2012 issues were only minted in the 1/10 Troy ounce size.
Here is a chance to get older issues from 2010, 2011, and 2012.
