Gold Maple Leaf Coins
The Canadian Maple Leaf is a beautiful coin. Some mints change the image on their gold bullion annually, but the Royal Canadian Mint does a nice, simple image that is repeated year after year.
The Royal Canadian Mint was the first to mint gold coins with a purity of 0.9999, and that extra nine, while representing an insignificant amount of gold, does psychologically appeal to investors.
While the 1 ounce coin is the most familiar coin to most people, smaller gold Maple Leaf coins do exist.
