100 Years of Australian Military Aviation Bristol Boxkite

The first military flight over Australia was 100 years ago, and the aircraft flown was the Bristol Boxkite.  This aircraft is not the subject of a 2014 coin.

The reverse of this coin shows a Bristol Boxkite and an F/A 18 Hornet.

This is a colorful coin that is being restricted to a mintage of 5,000.  This coin is being struck with a PROOF finish.  It is a one ounce fine silver coin.

The coin is housed in a display case, and comes with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

The Perth Mint has on its website a coin that will be available July 8, 2013. The coin is a $1 fine silver Australian legal tender coin, the Stock Horse, featuring a beautiful image of a horse on its hind legs. There is a limit of 10,000 to be minted, and only 1,000 will be on a special mint card for sale in Australia. The coin contains 1 Troy ounce of 0.999 fine silver, and should be highly collectible.

Rock Wallaby or Kangaroo Silver Proof Coin

This is a product of the royal Australian Mint.  The one pictured is a one ounce fine silver proof coin made in the very limited quantity of 20,000.  This coin is accompanied by a box, case, and numbered Certificate of Authentication from the Royal Australian Mint.

Australian Map Shaped Coin Series

Some time back Australia's Perth Mint produced a silver coin in the shape of the map of Australia for a trade expo with China. Now, realizing a great success with that coin, a new series has been launched, The Australian Map Shaped Coin Series, in fine silver. These colorized coins have an image over the map. The Kangaroo is the third coin in the series, and was an immediate sell out. The next coin is planned, but the first three are no longer available from the mint. Check our website for the Kangaroo.
