Coins that Glitter, Gold from Canada

The least expensive gold coins are not the numismatic coins, but rather the gold bullion coins.  And, generally, the larger the coin the closer it is to the spot price of gold.  But, not everyone has the funds for a once ounce coin, which is the Gold Maple Leaf when looking at the Canadian quality.  So, there are smaller sizes available.

Of course numismatic value is important, it helps retain the value of a coin when precious metals are retreating.  And, Canada has many nice gold coins to choose from.

The links below will get you right to the mint, where buying is much safer.  I have never heard of the Royal Canadian Mint selling anything but genuine coins.  After all, if the mint makes it, the coin is genuine.
