Casino "Coins"

Silver Casino "Coins" became collectibles some years ago.  In order to encourage collecting, many casinos issued them in limited editions.  This encouraged winners to take these home in lieu of being paid.

There are several denominations.  The most common is the $10 denomination.  The $7, $28, $40, and $200 are relatively common.  A few others were used as well.  Not every denomination was used by every casino.

These had fine silver as part of the "coin."  Now, due to the price of silver, newer issues are being clad in silver.

Of course value varies depending on what collectors will pay.  Below are the images of two from the Hard Rock, one of the more desirable issuers of these now highly prized pieces.
