Half Cent Coins

From 1793 to 1857 the United States Mint made half Cent Coins. These are the smallest denomination coins of all circulating coins. And, they were among the earliest to be minted. The number of designs used for these coins is astonishing. It appears that those with authority could not be satisfied, but kept the design changing. These coins now are worth more than their original face value.
