The Sydney Opera House Silver and Gold Coins

Introducing The Land Down Under Coin Series Among the most spectacular coins issued in the first part of 2013 is the Sydney Opera House silver colorized coin. This coin must be seen to be appreciated. Each coin was issued by the Perth Mint, and comes in a unique case with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity. All coins are Proof Quality. The silver version is available in two sizes, the 1 ounce and the 10 ounce coins. The mintage of the 10 ounce coins is limited to 750, while the mintage of the 1 ounce coins is limited to 5,000. There are also two gold coins, the 1/4 ounce coin and the 2 ounce coin. The gold coins are not colorized. Perhaps this is because to add color would ruin the natural beauty of gold. Mintage of the 2 ounce gold coins is limited to only 200, while mintage of the ¼ ounce coins is limited to 1,000.
